
The Open Door Culinary Project is a culinary and independent living program designed to empower individuals with disabilities through inclusive, hands-on instruction and community-based support. The program emphasizes skill development, personal independence, and workforce readiness through structured training experiences and individualized accommodations.

Culinary Life Skills Instruction
Participants receive practical training in meal preparation, grocery shopping, kitchen organization, and food safety – core competencies that support daily living and vocational opportunities in food-related industries.
Support Services
The program provides access to coordinated support systems that assist with daily decision-making , goal setting, and employment preparation. Vocational coaching and individualized guidance help participants build confidence and transferable job skills.
Accessibility and Individualized Accommodations
Training environments are designed to be accessible and responsive to individual needs. Reasonable accommodations are provided based on documented requirements to promote full participation and successful learning outcomes.
Community Partnerships & Advocacy
